Sunday - The hammock

Carl generously watched the kids yet again as I spent the day designing wine bottle bags for WIA.  After working on and off from 9am till 1am I have 5 new successful designs.  Go WIA!  Carl spent his time in the garden, grocery shopping, preparing yummy food, sleeping in his hammock, pushing kids on the swing, wondering why Kaia changes her clothes so many times every day, chasing our speedy crawler, marveling over the water from the new water filter, and collecting fallen avocados.

Pre-nap.  This is Carl's birthday hammock.  A good view of the concrete wall that I despise and am trying to desperately to cover up with bougainvilleas.

One of the many flowers in bloom now.

Almost always in bloom but looking very nice now.

One of the few plantain bunches growing right now.  Alice cooks them at least once a week.  She has an amazing curry banana recipe that we all love.  This bunch is almost gone.

My sunflower patch.  They grow year round and ideally I want some in bloom all the time.  Moses is getting pretty good at planting new ones at the right time and it almost always looks like this.  I love it!!

Silly nilly Kaia in her baby dress.  She is very into trying on old baby clothes these days and she can squeezer herself into most of them!!  She wore this for her first Christmas in North America when she was only 8 months old, you may remember it.  Obviously it fits a little differently now.  Lots of her old dresses look super cute as shirts these days though!
