Blue Heron

Thursday is our morning at home.  Slow day.  Play, eat, play, eat, tutor, playgroup, eat, bath, books, bed.  Such a nice day though.  Kids were in great spirits.  The short rains are coming and I love Rainy Africa.  Everything is so green and lush, the breeze is cool on an otherwise hot day, the rain it warm, the clouds low and thick, and the thunder long and deep.  In an hour or two the sky is blue and the sun is shining on bright green clean foliage.  The playgroup was at a garden cafe called the Blue Heron that is so beautiful!!  I should have taken some overall shots, maybe I will remember next week.

Here is Theo contemplating life at the fountain at the Blue Heron as the sky is just beginning to clear.
Notice how huge his cloth diaper bum is!!

Here is Kaia just before her bath.  I found her undressing in the hamper.  She says it is easier.  Can you see how dirty her face is?  Before she undressed that is what she looked like from head to toe!
